Aloha Rick & Mary,
Great job on the new forum, and the site in general is a terrific help for those of us in Hawaii (the lowest per capita boat ownership state in the union -- go figure).
Not to be presumptuous, but as far as login complaints go for the new form, could you enable a cookie login so that every time I come back (it is my home page after all) I'd automatically login?
I love the new forum, but most posts seem to be occuring in the old... and I'm a lurker and would like to see users directed to the new.
Like most, I don't mind browsing anonymously, but entering username/passwd every time I want to post inhibits me (with some on the old forum this might be a good thing). I'd be more willing to share feedback and ask questions if I could do it immediately.

BTW is there an update to your ...Racing in the 90's.. book in the future.

Appreciate all you do.

Matt,

My browser (IE 5.0) does remember me and I don't have to login everyreply (I ~think~ - testing it for sure this time). I agree with everything you said - people resist change and need a shove in the right direction sometimes! I really like the new forum but am concerned about some of the requests for many individual boat specific forums - I learn a lot from the other boats and like having the single vast resource. Perhaps an additional input column that you could select Hobie, Nacra, Prindle..., Event, or General would allow people to sort the replies and get the boat specific info they want while allowing people like me to see it all at once.

[color:blue] Jake
[color:blue][b]Nacra 5.2 (2112)

Rick and Mary: Thanks for all your efforts on and off your site! In regards to the comments on the new forum, I sail a P19, but had an H16 for many years. I learn something from almost every boat, and can sometimes contribute to other boat owners from my experience. Please keep this forum open long enough to get established. Even though my browser requires me to login if I want to post, usually I just read. I appreciate how fast the new one loads. Thanks again.
