Clevis?... actually "Shackle" is the connection at the tang.
If you have the old style single-hole tang you don't have a choice but to attach all there. The older rigs have the jib halyard as part of the forestay wire (three wires attach at the shackle), so not sure what you have. Current product has two shrouds, forestay and aussie halyard all attached on the shackle on the lower tang hole (4 wires). Traps go on the upper shackle.
So, not sure you have a problem really. The leading issue with mast rotation would be jib halyard tension an down haul tension. Both prebend the mast if excessive and will cause some rotation problems in lighter air.
