I am interested in doing the Oxford race this weekend on my H21 SE with spinnaker. I need to obtain a rating!!! How do obtain a PN # ASAP and do I need to join CBYRA or CRAC or ? Time is of the essence - any help would be greatly appreciated. New to racing scene here on the Bay. Many thanks.

I think maybe these are it for the H21

Hobie 21 no spi H21 67.0 71.9 69.2 66.3 61.7

SP Class normally without spinnaker, genoa, reacher, hooter or wire/rope luff headsail attached to a pole, carrying one or more 0.960 0.953 0.958 0.960 0.960

--------------------..DPN....0-1.....2-3......4.......5-9
Modified Portsmouth 64.32 68.5207 66.2936 63.648 59.232

You got wings? Maybe adjustment for them as well. Also consider your crew weight, might adjust also.

You'll need a Class Flag, check your Private Messages.

Check NOR for other requirements like checking in with RC.

As Jake Said, use the Portsmouth yardstick and applicable modifiers at http://www.ussailing.org/portsmouth/index.asp

Note the changes if you are carrying non-class legal sails. For a Standard Hobie 21 carrying a spinnaker your D-PN is 64.32. This is the number to use (unless you have other changes) when you enter.

Race info and entry can be done at www.sailregattas.com. You will need to create an account and log in to enter a race. The entry for the race can then be done under the Regattas tab on that site. You do not need to be a member of CBYRA, CRAC or even US Sailing. Just leave these fields blank or if it won't let you, enter in 00000.

Hopefully we will see you out there!!!

Cheers,
