Hi all I have just bought an A Class cat and wish to put a righting system on it any ideas.
The simplest will probably be a rope kept in the fron beam by shock cord until wanted ( my beam ends are open )
Open to any ideas though

If your tramp loops over the front crossbeam like the Marstrom and the Boyers, put the line in the tramp just aft of the front crossbeam. After having mine come loose during trailering a couple of time, I added a mesh pocket with a velcro closure to tramp.

My favorite system is a big 'V' rope so that the top of the V is attached to the front beam where it connects to the hull. The bottom of the V is then connected to a bungee that goes through a block in the back beam, then another block in front beam, and finally through the tramp and terminates in a plastic ring on the top center of the trampoline. The main sheet/traveler goes through this ring and keeps the line from falling out the back of the boat.

Then tie some loops in the V so you can hook it to your harness for righting.

Another system I like is to put blocks on the bottom of the forward beam near the hulls and put the top of the V through the blocks and terminate with a loop. The advantage of this second system is that it is easy to pull forward and put your weight on the forward part of the hull where it belongs.

Both of these systems do not have the purchase of a dedicated line that goes around the hulls-- not a problem for bigger guys in a light A-class, but if you are small, these quick systems are not advisable.
