I recently dug out my original spinnaker pole, it's aluminum, is this the same pole thats being used with the new midpole setup? or is the new one carbon? I would guess it's carbon, but I imagine you can attach the midpole hoop to an aluminum poll as well?

New mid-pole setup is with the aluminum pole - same as the old bare pole we used to use.
