Err, Doug - that's "sail two times a year" to keep a boat at the club, I think. I don't thnk there is a requirement to race twice a month, though there is the opportunity during the season to do so.

After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

OK. Sorry I may be wrong. I just thought that was what they said when I asked earlier in the year about membership. Still like that they want an active group. Think there are 6 Blades there now. Can't weight to get my lighter butt over there.

Welcome to Jax! I keep my Hobie 18 at the Rudderclub and am looking for other cats to join me for Saturday or Wednesday racing. I tried sending an e-mail to the address listed in your profile but got no reply. Drop me a line bgolum(at)ais(dot)net

Doug, What area of Jax are you look in? Lots of rentals available now with the housing market dropping.
Mike
If I go job is about 30 minutes from the Rudder Club. Where 295 (? think that is right) hits 90. In that general part of town. Still need a locater to help me find a good spot. Have to get an Apt to start, then maybe house when I go to Tampa later. If all works out.

Another Rudder Cluber welcoming you to town. As far as fleets, my last count had 9- Hobie 16s (3 owned by the Club). We are trying to get the kids sailing the Hobie 16 class and have 5 teenagers that own Hobie 16's and another group of youngster to aim at the Clubs 16s. I have a Hobie 18 + a fuzzy relationship to an RC27. Rob and Tony have an RC 27, We have a couple of A-cats floating around. 3 Nacra 5.2s. There is a Mystere, couple of P19's, Nacra 6.0s and about 5 Hobie 18's. There is a Hobie 21, Solcat and few other odds and ends. If everyone showed up to sail we would have a Regatta. Basically we are in need of a spark plug, so Doug start sparking and get us out there. See you soon.
