Not many guys that I know would be willing to sell a pair of their balls for just $11.95. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Or have a machine shop work on them in the first place!

Great thing to know, that should make some 18 owners very happy! Maybe they can be listed on the online store here...

Well,

It worked and nothing broke.

I took the boat out early this morning when the wind was very light. I first tried it solo, because my crew couldn't make it, running just the main and spin. The first set and douse went well. As I went on I had a few messy douses but then managed to clean them up.

When my crew got their I realized the wind had picked up some and i had been sailing in winds around 8-10 solo. Then we went out and blasted around realizing that we love the spin.

I figured I would have hundreds of questions after my first spin attempt, but I really don't. I had read enough that I understood what I was trying to do. I am sure some questions will eventually come up, but for now I just want to say that it works!

Some things to remember as well, when you start to feel over powered, drive it down, but do not sheet out, flatten out the spi to take the power out of it.

In lighter winds sheet out to fill it and then sheet it in until you get the luff just barely collapsing or on the edge of collapsing.

I have ran a spin before on a F28 tri, so I understand some things. I worked alot today on sets and douses and didn't worry to much about trim, but that will come.

Cool.

It is so much fun when you get the boat going the same speed as the wind and the apparent wind allows you to head up a little, it is like you are in a vacuum and there is no wind yet you are going 20 knts!

Man, I don't remember posting last night.

I had been out to a halloween costume party at a friends and had just made it home when I posted it.

I was a pirate, it just works well because all my friends know I sail and none of the group I was hanging out with last night do.

More interesting questions might be

"what did you come back as"
"who did you come back with"

I can answer both of those also.

I came back as a pirate, but I seemed to take off the costume between the front door and my room and scattered the costume all over.

Also, if you read my other posts carefully. I was with my girlfriend and she was my ride home.
