I don't mean to spam youguys with this too much but the Distance forum seems to be a little sleepy.
The Great Texas Catamaran Race will have some changes for 2008. The hottest debated issue has been running portsmouth handicap for the scoring. Not anymore! Now there will be classes! An F18 class and a N20 class is for sure now and if we can get 5 or more of the same boat that fits in the race rules, they will get a class as well. If not, they will run in an "Open Class". I hope to see some of the N6.0's show up again. With a smaller chute, they are a great boat for this race.
Also, the PRO for the '08 race is Billy Richnow. He was the PRO for F18 N/A's and also for the A Cat Worlds. I think we are lucky to be getting such a great PRO.
You can see what's going on with the race at
www.gt300.com and keep informed about upcomming stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing new faces on the starting line. We (Team Chums) will be doing both the Tybee 500 and the GT300 once again.
