I am wanting to paint my boat also this winter but I need to know where to get the paint and what paint you all would suggest.

I looked for a thread about this but couldn't find anything exactly like what I was looking for.

I like duPont's Imron. I have found it to be the most durable and easiest to touchup. I buy mine from a local auto paint supply company.

When you are at the auto paint supply place be sure to buy a hand cleaner made to remove auto paint. What they carry seems to vary from shop to shop and year to year but most of it works.

Well, that is a start, I have to start reseaching this. Did you spray it on your boat?

Yes I sprayed mine. You will need an respirator with an organic filter. Do no spray without the correct filter, it can kill you. Be sure to have plenty of fresh. The 2 part polyurethanes evolve iso cyanates during curing.

So....use the correct filter, good to know since I am anti-dying.

Roll and tip is easier and you dont need spray equipment.

Interlux perfection on my boat, if you stick with the light colors you can roll it and skip the tip and it still looks great.

Anyone have an idea of what "Shark White" color really looks like? It is the only white in the Micron 66 that is available.

I used Snow white, it is the most white (brightest?) of the whites.

Perfection is a topcoat, not a bottom paint. Its two part poly, and very glossy, very hard, and self level's when you put it on, reminds me of nail polish its so shiny.

After what I read at the A-Cat worlds, I thought this might help me rounding the marks and at starts!

I inform everyone at races that I attend:

"Stay Clear of #703!!"

Just ask ksurfer2.
