Why not go for three?
While browsing the news from the Salon Nautique in Paris I came across this one

I'm not ready two trade in my two hulls for anything else, but when I get old I might be tempted.

Thats a nice lookin boat really. It would be nice when i'm too broken to trap out any longer. Does it fold up at all? there doesn't appear to be a mechanism to fold it for trailering.

Took a quick look and the problem is probably that although they have plastered nice german, spanish, UK/US, korean, japanese and chinese flags on the site only the french part is up and running. Let's chalk it up as yet another unfortunate french attempt at reaching out to the world <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Nice looking boat, but why 23? Is that Feet? Why, why not call it the 6.7M if you are going to spec it using the metric system? Question, does it fold up? How you going to get it to the water? Where you going to keep your beer? If it had a little cuddy cabin for a potty and a cooler Mama might buy off on it...without that, not. Also, no sprit for a spinnaker or larger screacher? And with the only rudder being on the middle hull, how you going to steer it when you fly two hulls? You would think the French would want to do that, since that's how they drive the 60' versions.

having a 3rd hull at that size is going to make it about twice as expensive as a similar cat

interesting speed chart at

http://www.multi23.com/POLAIRES_MULTI_23/Polaires.html

very similar to the one hobie have for the hobie 20 in the hobie university pdf download

http://www.hobieclass.com/default.asp?Page=1686

but the multi 23 one doesn't seem to say what the wind speed is, is 10 the standard and the big advantage it has due to spin?

ok i got it, the hobie uni graph looks a little guestimated and shows just 1 wind speed of 10mph, hobie 20 max boat speed of 14mph on a broad reach

the multi23 speed chart looks to have been much more closely plotted shows boat speeds on all angles with 7! different wind speeds. for comparisons sake the green line is 10knots and shows a boat speed of 12knots......

so it's slower than a hobie 20 on all points of sail???

I wouldn't care. I have a hard-on for tri's The orma 60's are poetic when they're flying two hulls. [Linked Image]

I'm boatless.

It's got to be slower than a 20' racing cat, as it's heavier but not much more horse power (sail area) to push it. What you gain is room for more than 2 people and a large, semi dry center hull to put a cooler of beer and chips.

It's about 200lb heavier than a H20 too...but tell me it will fly two hulls and I would consider it a good ride.

Well, based on the map on their contact page, maybe you should start learning french...
