I've got 5 boats and I'm looking for some input and advice for a #5.

First off, heres what the fleet looks like, ACat, 18HT and CL14, 18HT Hulls with a N20 mast, and one partially finished DC.

The Acat sits in my yard on a trailor, The HT (new kevlar main, new spin) sits on the beach at a friends house, mast up, the CL14 sits on the beach near where my parents have a beach house in Cape Cod, mast up.

The DC (Developement canoe) http://www.intcanoe.us/
This is a work in progress for this winter.

So that brings me to boat #5. This is the one I dont know what to do with...

I've got 2 nearly new HT hulls, Carbon 8'6" beams and a repaired N20 carbon mast, no other parts. My thoughts are adding some big crusing racks and make this sucker a family cruiser, or a big wind reacher. For that I need sails, daggers, rudders, boom, running rigging, etc.

Its going to be pretty similiar to the HT that I have, so adding another HT to the family seems a bit redundant.

How about make this a kite boat? I would only need a tramp and rudders.

Or a tri?

Somebody want to take this project off my hands?

Bill.
Quit screwing around with soft water boats and build the ice boat. Better yet, buy a used DN and get out there. The season has officialy started on the east coast and with luck we can go to april first.
Why strugle to do 15 when you can do 60?
This shot was taken saturday at Quobog pond near Sturbridge, MA. The winds were 8-12 and we were doing around 40 mph downwind.

Email me offline if you want to get hooked up.

Cheers,
Eric Anderson

Global warming is a name given to a possible scenario of rapid climate changes due to man related causes. These climate changes can actually go both ways. Not all area's in the world will become warmer and wetter, some will become drier or colder.

The real scare is the gulfstreams being affected and that would mean a serious temperature drop for an area like Europe while at the same time the melting of the ice on greenland due to other causes would raise sea levels. Some contradictionary reactions can happen under the same umbrella.
