Tad Pecorak, John Williams and I have put together a google group for multihull sailors. The purpose of the group is to gather email addresses so that the MHC can send out timely information to all of those who are interested in recieving it. This group is one of the actions to come out of the MHC conference call. It is also a place were we will post information from around the world pertaining to the ISAF position on multihulls in the Olympics. I you are interested in recieving emails from the MHC than please click on this link and join the group. Again, the purpose of this group is solely to develop an email list to create more timely communications. http://groups.google.com/group/multihull_council

Thank you,

It is a good idea to accumulate an e-mail list; but what kind of "timely information" will the Council be sending? I am already on the e-mail list, and I rarely receive anything from them, except for the meeting minutes twice a year (and sometimes an advance agenda). Is there going to be more?

Hi Mary -

Yes.

Near the end of the last meeting, it was suggested that there is a need for a method of "reaching the grass roots" with some of the discussion e-mails circulating and to allow those who want more info to be able to get it. Tom and Tad volunteered to look into what is available out there.

There are more communications that are circulated than just the meeting minutes - draft agendas, discussion, e-mail votes, etc. are topics that are touched by at least the executive committee (Area Reps) - the suggestion was that people might feel more engaged if they had more access. So we're trying something new. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
