Where do you store your sails for the winter?

I wrapped mine up in a big blue tarp (to prevent any snaggage) and put them under my workbench in the garage. Probably not the best idea, but the cat should keep most of the mice away.

Ryan - H16 I prefer to go sailing because baseball, football, tennis, and golf only require 1 ball!

By cat I mean the animal, not the boat.

Take that stuff off the poor cat, he probably spend hours trying to get it off himself!

Seen that done before it only takes one mouse nest for a lot of damage. I get an icecream container cut holes in the side just big enough for a mouse to get in then put rat blocks in side. Then put that next to the sails

Being that I just moved from a crappy apartment into a house I have room to spare. My sail will spend the rest of the winter laid out flat.

I'm boatless.

If you've got that much space, hang the sail so that it assumes its natural shape.

My understanding is that much of sail degradation in modern non-stretch cloth is due to set-in wrinkles, which cause the sail to 'shrink', distorting the shape especially in light air.
