Posts: 307 maui | There was a boat called a "surfcat" that tried to compete with hobiecat in or around 1970. i saw one on the beach at a race near Daytona then. they were made somewhere around there for surf sailing. the california made venture cat has the same decks as the boat in the picture, but kept the asymetrical hullshape below.
