Out of the blue you might suddenly get a long email with a bunch of posts. The reason you received that email was due to our fixing a tool on this forum. The tool allows the User to get emails of posts, much like a maillist. Many do not like the feature, but others seem to love it. And the feature can be turned off or on -- your option.
If you do get emails, you apparently had the email function turned "On" and yet were not bothered by the emails in the past since the function was not operating anyway. But, Now it is.
To turn it off, log into the forum and click on "My Home" at the top, and then in Main Configuration click on "Edit" of "Subscribe / Unsubscribe from receiving forum posts by email, change message notifications, etc. "
That will open a page where you can select your preferences.
Sorry about the bombardment, if you get any. Ed Norris said to blame him since he wanted that feature for his group up in Long Island, but he claiims he can outrun most folks.
