My crew, Laura Sullivan, and I have been invited to participate in the 9th Philippine Hobie Challenge this Feb. 16-23. This is a 250-mile, 5-day, endurance race on Hobie 16s, with a day of buoy racing at each end. We believe we are the first American team to be invited to this event.

We are seeking a title sponsor to cover our $2,200 entry fee. We are also interested in working with other sponsors for product including: energy bars, video helmet cams, GPSs, tactical equipment, sailing gear, survival gear, dry bags, camping equipment, etc., etc. We have put together our own short list of potential sponsors. Is that a invitation only event?

Yes. You submit your resume', and they extend the invitation. Because of the perils involved with such an event, they want to screen applicants for safety reasons. Also, they are limiting entries this year to 20 teams.
