I was just thinking about some Commercials with cats in them. I could only remember two.
One was an Old Spice ad from the mid 80's. They show this dude single0-handing an H16 back into port. His gorgeous woman awaits him and obviously misses him quite a bit.

The other was an ad for Wausau Paper. It showed some fast and furious action an TheMightyHobie18.

Anyone know if these are available online anywhere or of any other cool cat commercials?

Bravo's and Wave's show up often enough in beach resort commercials.

Martini had a great commercial with the Dart 18 in the 70's.

I'm sure Matt has a good list! I do recall seeing lots of Hobies in CHiPs episodes. They'd show up everywhere, even on trailers in parking lots.

Does anyone else remember a made for TV movie Titled "Thin Ice" back in 1981 starring Kate Jackson.
Probably couldn't get filmed today, the storyline was about a High School teacher that had a summer fling with one of her recently graduated students. Some of the action centered around the two of them sailing on his Hobie 18.
The movie was poorly written and directed, and barely even shows up on Kate's bibliography. It came out the year after I bought my first H-18 and I remember watching it with great interest.....on several different levels.

The Commercial you saw was Pacific Life and the sailors were Jay and Pese Glaser on one boat and Brandon Wallace and James Gumpel on the other.
