I've been looking at used parts to replace those that are worn and have noticed that some of the boats that are being parted out have a downhaul block on the bottom of the goosneck....my older h16, however, doesn't even have a place for a downhaul block.....did the older boats have a different downhaul system?

Ryan - H16 I prefer to go sailing because baseball, football, tennis, and golf only require 1 ball!

The stock "system" includes a ring at the bottom of the gooseneck thus:

The downhaul can be as simple as a single line tied to the ring, or as complcated as a 6:1 purchase system shackled to the ring.
