Got a Burdines (department store in south Florida) flyer from 1986 out of a newspaper advertising tv's. photo in the tv on the cover is of my dad racing our old H-16 when we lived up in NJ.
If your havin girl problems i feel bad for you son I got 99 problems but my beautiful wife ain't one
I am a compulsive pack rat. I've got the hotel bills, gas slips, sailing instuctions and most of the stuff that was handed out in regatta goodie bags from the late '70's onward.
Of course, they are filed chronologically in perfect order (NOT!) <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
Someone tried to sell one of the "Absolut Vodka" glass mugs we got as give-aways at the '85 H-16 Nationals on eBay a while ago.
I've got a couple in my kitchen cabinet that still get used now and then.
I have the same problem as Matt, but it was my wife that saved everything. Some the stuff that may be of interest are: A January 1979 copy of Life magazine with a two page spread of Paul Ulibarri and my daughter Gina on a H-18 taken at the nationals in Coronado. A t-shirt from the first H-18 nationals still in the plastic bag. A picture with yhe 100 plus volunteers from Carlyle Sailing Association When I was the liasion for sailing at the '94 Olympic Festival.
I've got a 2003 Worrell 1000 can huggie. Not a big deal until you think about the year. I also have a shirt , broken spin pole, and a broken 6.0 dagger board, signed by all the Worrell 1000 folks(teams ,Officials, and support crews)from different years. It'll work out well if I can ever get any of their checkbooks, I'll at least know how to sign their names.;)

things that are remarkable and worthy of remembrance
Busted boat parts certainly rank high on the events to remember scale. You certainly win bonus points for quantity! If only there were pictures with which to validate your claim, I would have to put you in the lead.
For now Williams edges out Bisesi with a 1996 hat. Lob to Bisesi.
I salvaged two oldschool Hobie posters from my grandfathers basement that he brought over from South Africa with him. I believe theyre from the late 70's early 80's..When I get a pic I'll post them maybe someone knows something about them.

Jake , you got some tough rules. Here's another pic for ya. Am I cool now? The memory attached with the can huggy is not the race that didn't happen, but that Lee Queensberry gave it to me. I miss him. Todd p.s. On the Dagger ,Randy Smyth drew a picture of himself in the wheelchair, after his water, staph, infection, deal.Kinda funny.

Smoked 'em. That's going to be tough to beat! Todd in the lead. The Randy Smyth wheel chair and Lee Queensbury memorabilia sealed it. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

One thing that I know Matt has, that is also one of my cherished assets, is a PU Class of 1999 hat (I don't have a picture). I had them made for the Hobie RC Seminar that PU gave at the Atlantic Coast Area Championships at Quonset Point. The class flew him in, and he gave a seminar on Friday, and worked RC for the weekend regatta. The ACAC was a one-time event.
There were less than 50 of those hats made, so 20 years from now, they'll be worth something. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

There is NO WAY that a hat can top the Dagger Board and rudder with all the teams signing them. I guess it comes down to how much these things mean to each other. So I guess I should retract that first statement. Todd's gets my vote! I hope Team Pirates kept their hull that I mangled last year in the Tybee. I would be happy to come out there and sign it.
