Hey all, My boat is coming back from the fiberglass shop on Thursday night & I was thinking about having them drop it off at founder's park & leave a lock on the hitch so I can pick it up early Friday morning. Is this a safe thing to do? Will there be other boats there & an obvious spot for these guys to drop it off?

Thanks. -Alex

I wouldn't worry about leaving my boat there overnight. They do have police that drive thru from time-to-time at night.

You can have him drop it in the middle of the big field. You won't miss it when you come looking for it.

Disclaimor: You should wait for Mary, Barb or Rick give you the okay that they've cleared the park officials for leaving boats. I think they got permission from thursday thru Sunday.

Yes, they can drop it off at the park for you.

As they enter the park they will drive around a roundabout. They should come out of it heading toward the beach. As they drive past the beach parking area there is a designated boat/trailer area along the road. There are already a number of boats and trailers there. We've marked it with a sign and some flags.

The park is a very safe place. There is a Sheriff's substation right at the entrance and they do drive around and monitor the park.
