Cat sailors,
As Catamaran Sailors are enjoying the winter, it’s time to think spring! This is an invitation to all the potential single handed Cat sailors out there. The F 17 fleet will be holding a meet and greet at Mark & Judy Biggers’ Place (CatHouse) on Saturday March 8th. If you are thinking about getting into our fleet, or just like to talk to sailors very knowledgeable in single-handed spinnaker boats. This would be your chance to meet some of the members and get some information on boat handling & spinnaker sailing in an exciting one-design class. It’s still early, but if you really want to race or just tear up your lake this season, now is the time to investigate and talk about it. There would still be time to order and receive a new boat just in time for the sailing season. Who wouldn't want to be part of the biggest single handed cat fleet in the Midwest? We expect to have between 10-15 boats at most of our regattas. The Nacra North Americans is here in Michigan this summer (August 25-28) in Caseville and 30 boats is not out of the question. The experience level within the group goes from beginner to North American Champion. Just remember every one of us started out as a beginner. How else can you learn? Gotta start somewhere!
We can talk about the setup, rigging, latest spinnaker ideas, sailing season etc. Another hot subject open to discussion SW Aluminum Mast VS Carbon Mast or some tall tales.
Mark & Judy will be serving Pizza later in the afternoon; Sailors are welcome to bring their own favorite refreshment.
Time: 2:00PM to ??
If you are interested please RSVP me ASAP.
