Great little gadget that Hero3 camera and I hope Tony doesn't mind that I've placed this on catsailors forum.
Notice the part where Tony almost drives himself into the water by underestimating the turning circle at 90 km/h
The guys at the GC 2007 had only the Sailkart toy to play with (beach was too small) but this is how a real high performance landyacht looks like (notice the unstayed rig) :

I do a lot of sledding and snow tubing during the winter (now). I had considered "SNOW KITING" but there isnt too much flat land around here to do it on. I would also probably be the only one as well. So sledding occupies my time and satisfies my need for an adrenalin rush. I read a lot of SA too to get me angry and take my anger out on friends who dont know what I am talking about when I rant and rave for an entire study hall period about Alinghy.

Looks like a blast...back to the original question though.
Yesterday the sleet/snow mix from Thursday started to finally melt a bit and then at 10 pm a light fluffy snow started again, in the quiet calmness, covering the tree branches, it was well...breathtaking. Tomorrow night the forecast calls for our 24th snow storm of the season to roll in from the Rockies.
I've been focused trying to walk upright on ice and hard-packed snows as not to injure knees or other important sailing body parts during daily activities such as getting from home, to the office, to the grocery and back home. Also being very careful while shoveling as to not hurt the back. It's hard to believe we're hosting a regatta in a little more than sixty days.

GRAVITY SUCKS!!!!! Phyl. therph. 3 days a wk. and also at home as well. Hopefully back to work Apr or May. Looks like I'll be doing some ''soft-sailin'' for awhile...... So don't think I don't have CABIN FEVERRRRRRR.!!! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Praying for global warming and summer. Complaining about the cold. Shoveling snow. Cursing the ice. Watching the propane gauge drop at an alarming rate.
Its too bad the ice boating around here isn't very good. Lots of lakes, but the ice is never smooth, or snow free. I really want to build an iceboat. It would give me something else to complain about at least.
The BloKart looks fun, but I don't think I'd use it in the summer.

Couple trips west to ski. Hoping to make one more before the season ends. Taking the 4 yo skiing at the local hill one night a week. Hockey in the old man bar league one night a week. Try to get the kids outside sledding or skating as often as possible.

TV, sleep, and a lot of nothing. The more money that I spend on winter entertainment, the less money that I can spend on the summer entertainment.
This.
It's also meeting / seminar time. Advanced Race Management class / exam in January, US Sailing meeting in a couple of weeks and I joined a yacht club in February (newbs must go to meetings).

Crescent Sail YC. It's kind of far since I live in the far NW burbs, but it's the only club on Lk. St. Clair with a beach and mast up storage. There's a small fleet of F-18's and I'll keep the Tiger there for weeknight races. It was also a way to relieve the strain on my garage (currently holding four boats and two cars - in a 3 car garage).

Nice location. Stan Woodruff and Ed Kraft both used to live right on the shore of Lake St. Clair. Used to iceboat on it in the winter, too. Great that you could find a club with other cats.
You are a really good garage packer! We are only able to get four cars and a golf cart into our three-car garage at Put-in-Bay for the winter. (They're not all ours.)

Well winter isn't quite over up here...but we've been sailing the last 4 days... it's been between 28-38 for the last week and my sailing team coach at my college thought it was "ideal" weather to start practicing in. Here is a picture of us rigging this past Saturday, we went sailing after, it was about 30 degrees. Oh and I know they are are "missing a hull" but for some crazy reason no colleges are sailing cats yet!

And one more because I can't figure out how to embed pictures into the post. It was nice to have extra people lifting the boats off the racks... the snow was very hard packed and icy. Finding your footing while carrying a boat was not a simple task.

Well we tried that but it's not really good for the centerboard trunks. We have a 29er I wanted to try it with but it didn't fly. Hey matt... kinda looks like to me that your trailer tongue is sticking out of the garage... I hope you didn't take the get the boats stored in such a perfect way, take the picture and then realize the tongue was too long! In all seriousness though, you must have a long garage if your tiger fits on the trailer in it!
