Who if any are coming up to Sydney for this skiff vs cat regatta.
Last year there were only myself and my mates f18 capricorn out there competing for the cats and this year at the moment doesnt even look like that is going to happen.
Would like to see a few kited mossies up here and maybe a blade or two.

Will post dates and all other info as they come along.

Hi Will, When is the brass monkey regatta.
I'll see if i can make it.
Had my first race today on 1724 it was a blast. Completly
different to 687. Got over my fear of capsizing, never
capsized 687 once ( although had a few close calls )
Capsized 1724 in my first race ( 20kn gusting to 30kn )
but i had no problems righting her.

Being such a light boat they are so easy to right.
I dont even use a righting line anymore.

I spent 10 min before the race rigging up a righting rope
and i didn't even get to use it. Just held on to the
dolfin stricker and pop up she came. [ being fat comes in
handy ]. took the righting rope off when i got back in.

the righting rope comes in handy every now and then, should always keep it on.

I'll be there again Will (Don't know what boat) and will aim to bring some big guns with me to smack the 18s harder then we did last regatta. Should not take long before they close the doors on us. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Its looking like that Ill be on a 12ft skiff if not I guess Ill be on the mossie again.
This time Ill know how to sail the thing this time.

Yep, will be training with the new crew (Girlfriend) next weekend. Lesson one on Sunday.

She's the new crew now is she. She be an interesting combination.
Going to have to do the bullets regatta at pittwater to get some serious practice.

I'll sail with her once a forntnight and race with either Brent or Lynch on the other weeks.

The f18 fleet at Kurnell has been a bit thin lately, It'll be good to get you racing there again its been a bit quiet.
