Well, Anyone sailing in syd this w\e Would have had a blast. I raced sat, wind 20-28knots. It was blowing harder than the last race at the nats. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> Pittwater was crazy with out of control 60ft yachts. One with the spi up getting dragged sideways 100+ metres. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> I had max down hall & outhall, traveler 1/2 way out and in some gusts letting out sheet still flying hull. Took your advice and didn't round up down wind in gusts. Still stuck in the bows to the mast but didn't go over. The start finish boat had a camera and next week I'll post some photos. This was the best fun I've had. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I think there were about 10 16s, 2 tigers(they only raced 1 race a lot of rigging for 1 race) came in about 4th in the 3 races . It was great to get the practice and was stoked it didn't go over once (At least 1-2 hobies went over each race). I cant wait to get the photos(They will prob look like any other day) How was others w\e? (Cam took out his wooden boat & ripped the forestay chain plates out of the hulls <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />)

Went out on the harbour with the 12ft skiff put the number two rig and had a ball, real skitish with the kite up but still was pretty comfortable. Went out today with the mossie and had a ball for one race.
Sailed at Mannering Park on saterday on 1724, 20kn gusting to 30kn from the south. Completely stuffed up the start couldn't get over the line rounded the windward bouy last then absolutely flew down the next run overtaking half the fleet untill i burried the nose and came off big time. First time i had ever capsized a cat [ lots of fun ]. Didn't feel to bad atleast half the fleet capsized.

Hey peter, If the wind was like that all the time I would have done allot better in the last race at the nats <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> It was good to get some strong wind experence <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />. Would love to hold Nats there although accommodation$$$$$$$$$$$rigging?????????????&wind?????????? States maybe next year we will see <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
