Interested to hear who is planning on racing the Tybee 500 this year? Rob Remmers and me are planning on doing it on an Inter 20. I know there is a New England contingent of 6.0's of some significance planning to come, Steve and Kenny of Team Tybee, and assorted other South Florida Rock Stars. Maybe even Tommy Bahama if the rumors are correct???

If you think you are going to give it a go...how about a prelim roll call?

Good luck to all my friends in the Worrell this year!!! Should be intense with new boats and 30+ on the line!

All the best,

Jim Stone

I think my boat would sink if it had to sail 500 miles in any reasonable amount of time

As per the information on the website, they haven't decided which classes of boats will be invited. Do you have new information?

Jake,

I'm pretty sure anything from 18ft to 20 ft. that comes with a "stock" spinnaker is OK to race from the prelim information I have been told. I think there is some discussion going on regarding the spinnaker on the 6.0 as to wheteher the New England configuration is the new standard to be used or something being proposed by the factory??? I'm sure they will find a way to include the 6.0...check with Rick Bliss for the latest. I know the I-20 is good to go though.

All the best,

Jim Stone

Hey Jim,
I'll do it as long as I get one of those great Stone steakhouse steaks at the end.
I'm planning on doing the race (even without the steak if I have to) ,Ought to be a blast.

Todd,

The Steakhouse will be open...I'll try to get there an hour or so before you so I can get the grill warmed up!

What about Davis? Is he racing with you or someone else?

Jim

Hey Jim,
Just tell me how to work your grill and I'll be more than happy to get it warmed up.
I'm not sure what Davis' plans are, he's pretty hard to keep tabs on. I'm racing with someone else.Davis and I are a touch on the heavy side, even heavier after a night in Tybee.
You gonna be at the Steeplechase?
See ya soon,
Todd
