Posts: 21 New Zealand | I have recntly installed a pair of Clamcleat CL 257 auto release cleats on my Hydra Catamaran rudder arms.
These are fantastic Soon as you hit bottom the rudder pops up and when you are through the shallows a simple click pull the rope and you are away again. By far the easiest system I have seen or used Where I sail is quite shallow so such a system is a must. They are also easily adjustable to set the prssure required before the rudders pop. By the way I dont work for clamcleat just raving abour a really cool product.
