When I have my trapeze lines set up for normal sailing they are too short ( I am too high on the wire ) for when when I am sailing back on the boat behind the rear beam on a reach.

If I have enough rope to be effective from the rear there is way too much rope on the tramp??

I have an adjustable pulley ayatem. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Any solution to this

What boat are you sailing? Are you sure you have it rigged correctly?

Most people can stand on the beam trapped (or close) with an adjustable system.

Old school solution was to use the two-ring loops...one circular ring welded to an elongated loop. Then you can select the shorted one for close hauled work or the longer one for getting aft.

Most teams now use an on-the-wire adjustable setup. It's a simple matter of pulling/easing the line to change the trap height while still hanging off the boat.
