just thought I would post a link to photos form the Singapore Catamaran Open held around 2 weeks back.

Since you live in Singapore, maybe you know the answer to this:
The first Youth Olympic Summer Games are going to be held in Singapore in 2010. Have you heard any local scuttlebutt about whether they are going to include sailing among the events?

Awesome! I couldn't find anything about the events from the IOC. But it looks like four sailing events. So which ones? Will it include catamarans?

ckuang...........Thanks for the photos, great to see all those F-16s racing. There is a problem in photo 15 where there is a Taipan in front of the Blade. Oh wait, it is fixed in photo 16. Whew. Had me worried. Ed

Hey guys, as far as the youth olympics go, yes, there will be sailing. Not sure if there are cats yet though as the line up of boats has yet to be determined. However, if there are cats, it would likely be the Hobie 16 with spin. Unfortunately, the Singapore Sailing Federation tends to favor monohulls, so I'm guessing all the events would likely be monohulls. Will keep you guys posted.

LuckyDuck- sorry, not too sure how the blade stacks up against the taipans here in Singapore. The blade, one of the early models, hasn't really had much time on the water for a variety of reasons, but now that the boat seems sorted, we would probably be getting a better gauge of how it stacks against the other F16 designs.
