Look out all the other sloop rig Mozzies!
The next few photos may get even Warwick a bit worried!

Thats right Top Gun with a super light crew. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Only jokeing <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I expect that it sent a shiver down the spine of all the other national hopefulls <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
I rigged Top Gun up sloop For a bit of fun to take the old man out in a marathon race our club held.
It was about 3 hours from pittwater up to near Gosford.
We had a ball. On the way we had the option to cut the corner at the opening of brisband waters channel this ment dodging the surfers and going thru the white water <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Dad said channel I was sterring and said white water.
So we surfed a small 2-3 ft wave 100+ meters (just lifted center boards)That was the best fun <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Worked our way up the river to our club boat & back.
It was a staggered start 1 h16 off0 2 h16 off10min dad&I off15min 2 16s off 20 2 H\tigers off25 &2 H\tigers off 35
At the half way point the extra crew weight & sail at the front in the lighter breeze diddent help mutch but we crossed the half way point at the same time as 2 H\tigers with 2 otherH\tigers 5 min behind.
On the way back the breeze increced to 10 knots and the mozzie went ok once again dad said channel (ps channel was protected by a hill so no wind in channel) Me steering said surf So using dad as a sheild from the breaking waves we smashed our way out .(The tigers used the channel so we overtook them) they got us past lion island but one capsiced and the other went to close to the hills so we beat all the H\Tigers back.
But the h16s got me .
It was a great fun day will need a spi and dad needs to go on a diet for next year.(unless I can convince him to get his own mozzie.
Cheers Ben
Ps how was your W\end?

I like the blue jib. There's not enough colour in Mosquito sails. So you started in the middle of the H16s and finished in amongst them as well. Your weight handicap didn't seem to hurt you that much.

I went to the comedy festival and saw Mark Watson perform. He's a comedian to watch out for.

Well The H16s all beat us (except the two young kids who when they saw the surf spent the arvo surfing waves)
But did come in ahead of the tigers.
They wanted me to start of 30min but I showed them my crew <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Ps Yeah I like the blue it came with top gun.
PPs Dad weighs about 110kg & me 90kg at the moment.
Is there a max weight <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
