After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

If this is true I will be a devils advocate.
Who cares?
They have just about anything in the Olympics these days. It is because they have Tibetan stone flipping as well as Irish monkey calling.
Olympics should be who can run fast and jump high. That's it.

About 16 years ago I was watching the Olympic coverage and got bored. I realized there was just too much of it. It was so bad some African guy I could swim faster than was on my telly finishing his swim after everyone else had gone home.

This fact combined with the fact that the Canadian sprinter had put some kind of cheat rocket up his butt let me know the Olympics were a joke.

I suggest the Olympics be only for the genetically modified. NO RULES. runners with cheatas legs etc.

That would amuse.

We live in a World that the young throw themselves in front of cars to get on the net and you have to fly your motorbike five hundred meters through the air doing ballet on the seat while it flips backwards.

Who cares if this years sprinter is named Marion Jones? She just represents the best of the cheaters. The gold medal should be given for
BEST FEMALE SPRINT CHEAT.

As for sailing...the English Tornado team at this latest World champs had a 400K budget, were sponsored by Audi and the sailors were garateed the biggest Audo wagon wherever they go.

Money wins Olympic sailing like drugs win the sprints.

Let's just get on with sailing and leave the politics to the Olympic committee.

It's easier to see his hidden message, if you just highlight the text in his post.

Highlighting will render the text the inverse color, thereby allowing you to see the hook in your mouth.

That's a pretty cool trick. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Couldn't they have canned synchronized swimming instead?

By coincidence, the head of US Synchronized Swimming is Terry Harper, the former head of US Sailing. Was that an intentional dig? (I know him because he now sails an Interlake at Indianapolis Sailing Club.)
