Has anyone ever experimented with home-made dyes for coloring sails? I have accidentally split stuff on my main and discolored it, but has anyone created a multi-colored sail from a factory white one?

There was a thread about this as it relates to spinnakers a few years ago...

Thanks for the info. I was also wondering if fabric dye could be used or if it might harm the sail material. I have an old sail I might experiment with. Thanks again for the info on the site.
