Hey Greg we have 5 more F18s to the Ontario fleet this year bringing the total up to 20, with about 15 dedicated racers.

For our Canadian F18 Championships last Sept. we had 35 boats the first weekend and 25 the second. It was fantastic and it could only happen with an open event. (BTW What happened to you? Last time I saw you were swimming and Ouida was sailing away! ) Too bad we couldn't get anyone else from Syracuse to come up. It is only a 3 hour drive. Greg it would be really great for everyone if the Syracuse folks would participate in our open events. How many F18s racing in Syracuse? 7?

Hey Dave - how many of your fleet will be coming down to Pensacola in October?

After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

Picked up the Tiger 3 weeks ago in the PNW...

We have been out 7 days now -
1 day 10 kts snowing
2 days 10 kts sleeting
1 day <5 kts pouring rain
2 days 18+ cloudy 40 degrees
1 day 0 kts 60 degrees sun

I am surprised the sails aren't showing mold growth/mushrooms yet - Andy and I are ready for Summer

In our Quebec region, so far it seems that 3 teams are interested in attending.

The swim was one of the mutinies by the skipper or I may have been pushed. Either way, it was a mutiny weekend by many crews as we found out later. I think we should have a "Spouse Regatta" this year. All the skippers hook up with another skipper on one boat and send (I mean let, I mean not try to prevent) the spouses into Toronto with a credit card. We will all be poorer but it will all be happier. It may sound like a joke but the crews need a break from us hard driving skippers about August.

As far as the racing north of the bord, it's every bit as good as in New York. There were 12-14 Tigers at the 4 Hobie only events we did last year. We did 6 or more Canadian regattas with at least that number last year. I was thinking of the lighthouse run when I referred to the 7 F18 regatta which I thought was just as fun.

Too much typing. Can't wait for the warm weather and a Sleaman's.

Thanks for all the input...I sail in Ireland....sorry for taking so long to get back.

The main object was to discern the performance characteristics of the boats rather than trying to fit in with sailing fleets - but thanks anyway
