Do most motor mount arrangements flip up parallel to the rear bar like the mount made for the H16?

The Cheata, which is pricey, appears not to flip the motor up sideways. Dragging a motor through the water looks, ah, non-intuitive.

Getting out from canals and public launches, the motor mount may be a requirement. Dumping motor overboard two or three times in frustration once sails are up would be too expensive. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Having to deal with a motor on the F31 has reminded me how much I friggin hate these things. I feel bad not knowing how to do repairs on any part of a sailboat but there is a level of complexity I don't have the time to deal with when it comes to an outboard.

Motor on Getaway

One of the first You Tube sailing videos that I ran across. So, what's that white thing on the rear bar?!

hokie, how about tying your Nacra to the bell tower someday so I can gawk?

thanks, dfarmer
