Solo from Dakar to Guadalupe in 13 days! An extreme undertaking and achievement if you ask me.

His boat looks kind of similar to the french one from earlier this year. Is this the future in small catamaran pocket cruisers?

Oh, and this team made an excellent version of their site in english, but still we did not catch it before he finished..

Damn it! Get distracted by work and the start of the season and miss a magnificent feat. It took him only two days and 6 hours more that Lequin and Moreau. I'm off, over to his website, got some vicarious living to do..

For those interested in extreme crossings, the usual suspect (Betao Pandiani) is crossing the South Pacific from Chile to Australia in an open cat. Take a look here .

I had the privelege of meeting Beto when he did the Tybee, Outer Banks 500, and then sailed on to New York. He was an exceptionally great, and humble person, and had the best stories you've ever heard with video to back them up. I wish him and Igor the best in there endeavor, and I know he will succeed in spades as always.
