Warm very clean water. Lots of sea life. Great food and beer.

Anyone want to join us on the Fourth of July to sail round trip to Bird Island? Approx 70 miles RT.

What air/water temperatures (Fahrenheit) do you expect?

Air about 95 to 100 and water about 70.

Just wind waves, no ocean swells. The best conditions you could ever ask for.

Your bottom two tell tales look stalled, maybe too much mast rotation?

Looks like an awesome place to sail at. Have you ever considered sailing at lake mead?

Look closely, the bottom telltale is not really visible in the picture (opposite side of the sail) but the second one up is clearly flowing back.

Lake Mead is a much further drive, about 6 hours. Rocky Point is 4.5 hours. I prefer to sail in the Ocean after 20 years on cats. The waves and very constant wind as well as the open space is much more appealing to my wife and I.

I was looking at your windward tell tales.

I ask because we go to Vegas once a year in April and we always head out to lake mead and rent a stinker boat. I think it would be an awesome place to sail.

Is Rocky Point at a different place than Puerto Penasco?
