Seeing it's a little quiet I thought I would share this photo which I found on 'Horsesmouth". It just goes to show that although us amateurs can make the occasional error of judgment and collide with another competitor you don't often hear or see tankers T'boning each other.....Just goes to show we're all human!!

Cant really say they were keeping a lookout, can they? I wonder how many of these frequent shipping accidents are caused by low cost crews.

Looks like the big ship is dragging the small one off a reef or something.

Notice it is secured to the small ship and the big ship is in reverse (prop wash). Tugs on hand too

Possibly the stuff that looks like a reef is oil and they have tied them together to stop the smaller ship sustaining further damage when they are separated.

I agree, I think the small is tied to big one to prevent it from sinking so to speak. I would imagine the small one is taking on some water so tying them up together would be extra security from capsizing and ultimately sinking.
