33 Hobie 20's on the line. Report I got through a voicemail was the fleet waited for the wind to build to 5 knots, then got 3 races in, with the wind building. Phil and Bev Collins with 3 bullets, followed closely by Andy and Mike with a 2, 4, 2.

Earlier this evening, (Thursday) I had a chance to chat with some of the folks in attendance. They started a race this morning, but, with winds steady @ 22 with gusts to 30, lightening in the area, several boats capsized and two boats demasted, the PRO abandoned the race and they spent the rest of the day on the beach. There was various and sundry other assorted property damage, but no personal injuries. All in all not a great day.

Steady in the high 20's. We're doing an on-shore postponement until things settle down a bit.

We grew up calling them "hairy" days, lol

Congrads to Fleet 291 and the regatta team for pulling off a good event, in a time when event entry numbers are down (with the price of gas, economy, etc.), and in a jib/main fleet.

Good to see someone was paying attention, John!

I bet PU was smart enough this time not to take another vote on whether there was too much wind to run races...
