Looking forward to sailing against the fleet at Lake Charlevoix this weekend. I looked at the BCYC sign up and so far there are 6 F 17's pre registered. CRAM has been sailing on this lake for over 30 years, but this is the first time we have sailed with the yatchies. My first CRAM event was here in 1978 on a Prindle 16 with my wife Connie as my crew.

The location of the course will be closer to Boyne City that we have sailed in the past. The forecast is for temps in the 80's which is a lot better than the last two CRAM outings where it was in the 40's and 50's.

It looks like the YC races triangle windward leeward courses. Not as much variation as the normal courses we sail, but hey I can't wait to be out there with the monos.

CRAM to my memory has never had a club race with big monos. Sweet. Hopefully Andy can post an article with pictures sometime early next week.

Come on guys....lets go for 10 F 17's this weekend!!!!

We have had a good turnout at our first two CRAM regattas...the weather just sucked bigtime. The weatherman owes us one! (no offense Bob)

Wow, I wasn't even born when you had your first regatta. I had my first regatta, also at charlevoix on a prindle 16, about 18 months ago. I remember you coming along in the power boat telling me everything I was doing wrong...

So, I am aready 28 years behind you. That is going to be tough time to make up out on the course...

See you tomorrow.

Well Bob...good forecast. It was that windy. Lots of swimming on Saturday. I just can't believe how much wind we have had so far this season. It usually averages out over the season....so we must be in store for lots of drifters later this summer.

Heck we even had excitement with the wind after we went to bed (2AM). The launch site got hit by a blast and then another blast from another direction that may have been 40-50 who knows...and a couple of boat went flying. Matt Strubels A boat ended up resting on Mark Bachelors RV. The winds were so strong it partially straighted out the auger that was staked in the ground. A 20 tipped over and busted Roger Cochrans spiniker pole.

Sunday was pretty good, decent breeze. We got started a 10 AM got two good races and the RC sent us in at noon. At first we weren't too happy about cutting the day short but then the rains came and it looked like a good decision.

I think Andy will post a more detailed report with pictures within a day or so...He does a great job.
