Ok, so a few of us are pissed at USS. Although unhappy, most of us are unsure whether to keep memberships or drop them. But, either way, why not let the world (or at least the yacht club, or local sailing bar) know how you feel? Whether continuing as a member but are unhappy, or dropping your membership - keep the sticker on your car and with a little bit of red tape, show 'em how you feel! The design of the USS sticker makes it easy. Next step - scan and print t-shirt iron ons! Cat logo on front, USS with international "no" on the back. Immature? Perhaps...

Hey, what's up with US Sailing? Found your post interesting. Just got my ASA certif and looking around for more info on offshore sailing. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks Sara

It's been on the trailer for a few months now.

Not that I would endorse this, BUT...

Flying a flag upside down is generally accepted as a distress signal. I think that could apply in this case. Here's a good one to use:

Hey, if you join, you can even save $5! More benefits of joining!

Read the threads here, read the threads on Sailing Anarchy.

Most people are upset about the mandatory membership rule about to be implemented. Multihull sailors have that issue and the little thing about the Olympics and general treatment of our side of the sport. There's a variety of issues afoot.
