One side of my HC 14 Turbo tramp is UV damaged. A 3" slit showed up today. Not long before a foot will go right through the tramp.

I am looking for suggestions as to a fix or the best place to buy a replacement tramp.

Only the port side is damaged. The rest of the tramp is in good shape. Is it possible to buy only one side?

Sorry, sometimes we are busy sailing instead of posting. I found for minor repairs and or changes, a guy in my town that has an aluminum frame / canvas awning business. It doesn’t hurt that he is a closet cat sailor, restores Triumph motorcycles and is a muscle car guy.

I vaguely remember buying a N6.0 tramp from Sunrise.

my experience with tramps is , you can restich for as long as needs when stitching has rotten , but if your tramp fabric is giving up , time for a new tramp, unfortunately my advice on where to buy is irrelevant to you due to distance between us , other than asking your nearest hobie dealer .

If your tramp is giving out from UV damage, dont mess around and get a new one. You dont want to fall through it stepping your mast... You could easly break/cut/permanantly damage yourself on your trailer below...or worse!

I have a great tramp from these guys... had one on my last boat too. Someone was just telling me they are in their 7th season with theirs and they never cover it (not recommneded) and it just started to show signs of damage... thats pretty good.

Do the right thing and order a new tramp via Rick 'n'em's online store:

https://store.catsailor.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=13983

and it's made by SUNRISE!

www.slosails.com Hobie 14 turbo tramp either black or blue $245. I have purchased from them and the quality is excellent. 1-805-479-6122. I posted this earlier, it never made it or was removed. I have no affiliation with this company, just trying to pass along useful information about a company related to our sport that does excellent work at a very fair price.
