Welcome to the FX One sailors!

Bob

What are the ideal settings for mast rake on the carbon mast F-17, new mast rig F-17, and ideas for the aluminum mast FX One?

Ken,
Very soon there will be a link under the tuning button on the F17 class page for both masts. I would think our FX-1 buddies would pay close attention to the aluminum mast section and go from there. I'm sure this will spark a few questions!

Well, that FX-one mast is a pretty different section when compared to the infusion section.

Having sailed both the FX-one (and tuned its mast a bit) and also the Superwing (F16) mast (very comparable to the infusion section) I'm hard pressed to remember any similarity beyond the obvious.

I'm finding that the difference in overall stiffness is very large.

Hey, it's just a starting point for them, nothing hard and fast. I sailed it too.
