Is there any device that I can attach to the lip of the endpole spi to ease the sail's entry into the endpole. I tried low friction tape but it wasn't really useful.

Cheers

What ive learned from top sailors is to hoist the spinnaker (obviously make sure there is not much wind and avoid an accident) then snuff it slowly and start spraying MCLube where the spin makes contact with the ring. Spray generously, I usually end up using an entire can on this project.

What endpole system are you using? I have my own endpole that works great! Maybe you need to tie a knot to keep the dousing points about 8 inches from each other when they are entering the snuffer.

Are you trying to douse to early? It is actually easier to douse while rounding into the wind, especially with the endpole system.

Holmenkol on the sail works well also.

Later,
Dan

And before the Holmenkol tries; pull the chute into the snuffer, then back out to dry. That worked great for me. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
