Quick question,

What size/length is the spin halyard that is shipping on the new F17s? I think mine is a little short and wonder what works the best.

Andy,

I don't know the stock length but I am using a halyard length of 76' 5". It works real good with the take up system.

Andy,
Mine is exactly 80' with the cover cut off of the core at 40' with the splice 1 foot out from the spinlock when it's up. It works better than any I.ve everseen. I have an extra that you can try at the next regatta.

Andy I took the stock length and cut 3 feet off and it seems to fit fine.

I would recommend the stuff Mark Bachelor is using it looks slick.

I'll take a look at stray cat. right now I am running 68 feet (worked great for end pole), but is a bit short for a mid pole setup.

Andy,
I also have a tapered halyard which only comes out for BIG races. I cut the cover 25' cause I don't like the sewn transition to go through but one block. The rest of the time I use a full length 3/16" line.
