Another great Commodore's Classic saw two F16 in a mixed fleet of larger cats. Photo attached shows me and an A-cat nearing the finish of one race.
Lots of fun and I want to thank Maui Jim Sunglasses for sponsoring the event. They let us demo their fabulous products all weekend and then gave out 12 pair of sunglasses to regatta podium finishers--a bit deal given that these sunglasses run $150 to $300 per.
I struggled with a broken spin/mast hound (thanks to a downwind pitchpole) and dysfuntional main sheet block but mustered a couple decent results including one line/corrected honors.
Not much of a race report, but as always there are too many tales to tell. Let me just say that conditions were, as alway, perfect at Huntington Lake, California!

Eric- Nice photos! Are those your kids in the other shots?? I presume that is a "small head" Ashby main you have- couldn't tell who made your spi? The "A"'s have all moved to larger heads- pretty obvious in the photo of the two boats you posted. I really noticed a difference from my circa 2001 "A" cat World's main to my circa 2007 "A" cat main. Are you planning to move up to new Ashby anytime soon for your 4.9? I would like to and a "group" order would likely help on costs.
Yes, those are some of the kids and cousins; it's my wife's flickr page.
The Ashby main has been nice and is very well put together, but the other Taipan out here got a big head Glaser main and it is faster. The spinnaker is from Glaser--it made sense to use a sailmaker I could drive to.
