Sadly it looks like it is time to say goodbye to my Capricorn (Tear in the corner of my eye). I have a deposit in the bank and scheduled to deliver it in 3 weeks. More details when it is finalised.

I have mixed feelings as I really enjoyed the racing the F18 class provided and the Capricorn was a fine ride. However it is time to hang up the boots (for now) on competitive sailing and look forward to buying a boat I can enjoy by myself and with my girlfriend when she is available. My project is to groom her into a competent sailor and racer, both on the helm and as a crew. She has less than 10 hours on a sailboat and can already helm the boat downwind with me on the wire under kite <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. She has done a fair bit of windsurfing though.

I now have my eye out for a second hand Taipan 4.9 or F16. An A Class is not out of the question also.

Beautiful boat. Wish my wife and I are heavy enough to race a f18 Capricorn competitively. Looks like quite a ride.

Mate,
its difficult parting from something one loves for a week.. Then the new become the adventure..

Good luck with what ever class you and the lady decide on..

Not Chinese - it's Thai.

Gotta admit. That Viper sure looks hot.
