The Catamaran Racing Association of Michigan had a regatta at North Cape Yacht Club on Lake Erie this past weekend. Chad Schwall's (F17 692) girlfriend, Angie, took some great pictures from the committee boat on Saturday. They are at:

All the F17s race OD

Gill - the "usual" config for F17 in the US is 1-up with main and spi. The F17 Sloops making a splash in Europe (as a F104) are only seen when the uni guys add jibs for distance racing/open racing/pleasure sailing. At least, that is what I have witnessed so far - someone please chime in if that is inaccurate.

If a F17 Sloop came to this regatta, would it have been in the F17 Class or Open Class? I have no idea.....

I did also see somewhere that the F104 class hopes to add a uni configuration to their allowable class configurations.

Does anyone know if the F17 Sloop and F17 Uni mainsails are identical in cut?
