Here's a great video of some light wind action on a Tiger.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJWzER6Vw0o

Last year we had 3-4 Tigers at most of the regattas.
Suddenly we've got 10-12 so far in 2008! There are currently 14 Tigers in the area, with 3 more rumored to be in the works. We have a serious possibility of reaching the 20 boat mark for F18 events in the area by years end.

And if you check out page 30 in the latest edition of Sailing World Magazine you'll find a picture of our guys ripping it in the Seattle NOOD Regatta. Look closely at the crew and you'll see blood on his forhead.
That's how we role!

We're on fire up here in the Pacific Northwest <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
More on the regatta in the video, and for a schedule of upcoming events, go to:

pretty cool. what is that blue box they have on the front of the tramp? It looks like a pet carrier... did they bring their puppy along for the race? <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

If you ever meet the skipper, he will be the one with the buck-teeth!

Looks like the velocitek mounted to the spin pole.

Love the commentary... "We can sail as aggressively as they can".... heh

Why does it say 18 HT?

[EDIT] - OOOohhh, they meant Hobie Tiger...not 18 HT as in 18 HT.

Funny observation...

It was one of the first things I noticed when we were reviewing the three plus hours of tape.

Having just started cat racing as a driver this year and having raced lasers for 10+ years without a cleat on the boat, old habits die hard - but definitely something we are going to fix fast....

Quite disgusting really when you think about all the crud in the water that weekend.

Velocitec just behind of the camera - looks like an Igloo cooler on the tramp in the video though...

Duh, ok now I get it. I noticed the sheet-n-mouth style.
But I just didn't get the buck teeth reference.

MMmmnn, mainsheet w/red tide sauce. Yummy <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

You'd have to ask DHfiend. I'm one of the boats in the background

Don, thanks for the heads up on the Sailing World pict., love the look on the crew's face, that's dedication!

And in the same issue there is an interview with Randy Smyth about the Volvo 40 boats and his Everglades race on that thing he built, P. 21 with more at http://www.sailingworld.com/0708smyth

Also, in that issue, I notice Alphagraphics has taken over the US Sailing Team! What happened to all those rules about sponsorship?? <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
