| Hey Gang! There is a 2 day buoy racing event (Meigs Regatta) being held at the Fort Walton Yacht Club this weekend, 5-6 July. NOR and all info can be viewed at; http://www.fwyc.org/default.asp. Online registration is preferred. Notify the FWYC Fleet captain with specific questions. This is my home club and hope to see you there! | Yahoo!! The event ended today. Winds on Saturday were 12 with gusts to 17. Today it was a lighter 6-10. 4 races were held on Sat and 3 today. We could have gone for 2 more but with the threat of thunderstorm looming just onshore, the race committee did the wise thing and finished us at A mark on the 3rd race so we would have time to de-rig in safety. Official results can be viewed at http://www.fwyc.org/default.asp.It was a great event with the F17 correcting over everybody with 6 firsts discarding a second.
