Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | The nominees selected by the Nominating and Governance Committee will be announced late next week. The nominees will be preparing bios well in advance of the election, and you will have an opportunity to contact them with questions should you wish to do so.
Also happening right now - N&GC is preparing for the annual review of the Board's performance. This year, the review will include individual interviews and a Q&A session. The results of the review and interviews will be given in St. Pete. I will be travelling directly to St. Pete from the F18 Championship in Pensacola.
While on the subject, the Nominating Committee of the Multihull Council is preparing a slate for election, too. Half the Area Reps and all of the ExCom (including yours truly) is up for election. Talk to your Area Rep now, make yourself heard.
The MHC Nominating Committee consists of:
Don Atchley, acting Vice Chair Adam Borcherding, Area G Rep Mike Hensel, Area L Rep Dave Ingram, Area D Rep
Area Reps up for election:
Area A – Chris Titcomb Area C – Mark Santorelli Area E – Mark Batchelor Area F – John Tomko Area J – Scott Miller
John Williams
- The harder you practice, the luckier you get - Gary Player, pro golfer
After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

Posts: 917 Issaquah, WA, USA | Pete, the following from the Northwest plan on attending the US SAILING AGM in St. Petersburg: Don Atchley, acting Vice Chair MHC, Mike Hensel, area L rep, Caleb Tarleton MHC. In additon, there will be a least a dozen additional NW members active in leadership roles attending.
I have attended the past seven AGM's and have seen the reduction of Multihull Sailors attending and taking part in other sessions. This has not helped our cause. Hope to meet you there.

As for moving the Area qualifiers I like the idea of moving the event North and South every year so the burden of traveling to the event is somewhat offset every other year. There are multiple clubs wanting to host the Area Qualifiers which for me as an area rep is a very good thing.

And on top of that, nobody ever notified the sailors down in the Florida peninsula. We usually found out about it after it was over. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> | | |
