Hey guys, I'm looking for anywhere in melbourne that could carry out a few alterations or repairs to a slowly aging tramp. am hoping that this person would be able to make a copy of the existing one as well.
does anyone know somewhere that i can get into contact with? (precise details please, as i am not there at the moment, and as such must be able to direct an assistant, who is unfortunately not a boat person) thanks, Alex

I think its obvious - try AHPC....they probably made the one on your boat currently.! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
Claytons right. Ring AHPC, 0354436910, or email them for a tramp measurement form, measure the points as requested, fill out the form, include where you want eyelets for trapeze etc... send it off, pay for it, about $450 (bit less I think) it arrives ready to put on.
Mine was perfect fit, although I forgot the trapeze eyelets and I'm sending it back for them in the coming weeks.
Regards

ok, following your advice I will be ordering my new tramp from AHPC. however, what I had originally meant to ask is, is there anywhere in melbourne (more convenient than bendigo) that you would recommend for tramp repairs?

I would imagine there are sailmakers in Geelong as well, or in my area I have used, canvas repaires, boat cover makers, upholsterer's etc. They all seem capable of repairs just make sure they use UV stablized thread. Yellow Pages should give you some choices, or the closest sailmaker I have used to Geelong would be Hoopers at Port Melbourne.
